From a four-metre gantry to 3D printers

Two 5-axis machines, two large gantries, machining centres for steel, a CNC lathe, two 3D printers and a coordinate measuring machine. Programming and inspection are done in-house.

In detail

What each machine does

Zimmermann FZ37L

Gantry milling machine, 5 axes simultaneous

Zimmermann FZ37L

Our largest 5-axis machine. The fork head tilts the tool around two axes, so steep flanks, undercuts and deep pockets are machined in a single set-up. This is where large foundry patterns, core boxes, design and wind tunnel models are made from tooling board, wood, plastics and aluminium.

Zimmermann FZ30

Gantry milling machine, 3+1 axes

Zimmermann FZ30

The longest machine in the shop. With four metres of travel we mill long models, base plates, gauges and fixtures in one piece. The fourth axis positions the head, machining then runs on three axes. By design the FZ30 is built for materials up to aluminium.

Universal machining centre, 5 axes simultaneous

POSmill H 800 U

The counterpart to the large gantries. The workpiece sits on a tilting rotary table and is machined from five sides in one set-up. That avoids re-clamping and keeps tolerances tight. Ideal for tool inserts, punches, fixture components and complex milled parts in steel and aluminium.

Deckel DMC 100

Vertical machining centre, 3 axes

Deckel DMC 100

The rigid all-rounder for medium-sized parts. On the DMC 100 we mill steel tools, mould inserts, punches and aluminium parts with high stock removal.

Deckel FP5/80

The classic tool milling machine for single parts, fixture components, modifications and rework. Quick to set up and therefore often the shortest route to a finished part.

CNC lathe

Gildemeister NEF 520

For everything rotationally symmetrical: bushes, pins, locators and turned model parts. That way we also make the small parts for gauges and fixtures in-house.

Coordinate measuring machine

Stiefelmayer

What leaves the shop gets measured. On the Stiefelmayer CMM we check patterns, gauges and fixtures against your CAD data and, on request, document deviations in an inspection report.

3D printer, FDM with multi-material

2 × Bambu Lab H2C

Two printers for rapid prototyping. The hot-end changing system handles several materials in one print, for example a rigid part with soluble support. Both printers deliberately run without the manufacturer's cloud: your design data never leaves our network.

CAD / CAM

From data straight to the machine

Almost every part, model, moulding and tool is created on a computer today. On four CAD/CAM workstations we import your data, add design details, define allowances and parting lines and create the NC programs for every machine.
